Empower Yourself - Skate With Amy Pailthorpe Figure Skating Coach
My Story
I am a Level 1 accredited coach with APSA, and a member of Ice Skating Australia and The Figure Skating Association of Tasmania. Skating since the age of 9 and am currently still competing in ISA levels.
Throughout my years of figure skating, I have had the opportunity to compete in many state and interstate competitions; Hollins Trophy, Olympic Trophy Challenge, Swan Trophy, Crystal Challenge, Winter Sun, Dragon City, Triple Challenge, Tasmanian State Championship, Tasmanian Artistic Trophy and Australian Figure Skating Championships. I have been fortunate to be able to attend many figure skating workshops and have learnt useful skating techniques from coaches, Sergei Shakhrai, Richard Laidlaw, Oxana Anichkina, Michael Pasfield, Brian Duckworth, Melanie Carrington, Michael Kho, Valentin Kadzevitch, Meagan Duhamel, Eric Radford, Igor Tchiniaev, Karolina Korfanty, Manon Perron and Kylie Fennell, to improve my skating and coaching skills. Also, I have danced since the age of 2 with Jenina’s Dance Workshop and am experienced in a wide variety of dance, including jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical and ballet, in which I have competed state wide as well as representing Tasmania at interstate dancing competitions. I have played the piano and guitar since primary school, and all my musical interests complement my love of figure skating.
I love to coach all abilities in figure skating, from beginner to adult.
